About the practice
We offer in-depth expert consultation and a full range of Chinese medical treatments.
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (as the treatment modalities for Chinese Medicine) are considered complimentary medicine (CAM) in the UK. These can either be used as ‘standalone’ treatments or in conjunction with biomedicine to either enhance or assist with biomedical treatment side-effects like in the case of cancer.
Here, treatment is holistic and based on the free flow of Qi, creating well-being and restoring health. This approach isn’t stagnant in the past, but incorporates new research and biomedical knowledge of health. My practice is informed by the latest protocols in areas of IVF and fertility and the latest research from leaders in their fields concerning chronic ailments such as endometriosis, PCOS, UTIs, anxiety and menopausal symptoms, whilst following ancient wisdom in promoting health.
About your practitioner
Ilse Weiss-Lijn is a highly qualified and experienced practitioner. Extensive training at the University of Westminster in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine was followed by an internship in both areas. This entailed treating a wide variety of conditions such as musculoskeletal; both acute and chronic, skin disorders, immune conditions, cancer support and gynaecological disorders. I also trained at the NHS clinic, Gateway, specialising in pain management stemming from a variety of conditions.
I have done extensive research in fertility and chronic illnesses such as endometriosis and have a passion for helping women transition smoothly through different stages of their life cycle.
